Find a good PowerPoint presentation about either To Kill a Mockingbird, or about Scottsboro Boys Trial, or about the 1930s era, or the Great Depression, or the movie, or about race relations -- basically anything appropriate that contributes to better understanding of the novel.
Try various search words. View it, review it in at least 50 words, and create a working hyperlink to it.
STEPS:
Go to www.google.com
Go to the Advanced Search Options
Under the File Format section, change the option to Microsoft PowerPoint PPT only. This way Google will only return PPT files, NOT ordinary web pages.
View the PowerPoint presentations that pop up in your search until you find a good one. Make sure it hasn't already be linked to by students who have posted ahead of you.
This is the final discussion-board activity for this book. If you responded to each question and gave replies to some of your classmates' postings, then you are finished and exempt from taking the essay.

POINTERS ON VIEWING PPTS:
When you click on a Google Link to a PPT, take note of the file size in the window that pops up. It will give you an idea of how long it might take to download. Be patient once you click on it. It may take several minutes to download and open. View download progress in lower left corner of your browser. Also, note that you can select OPEN or SAVE. If you select OPEN, the PPT will download and open in your Web Browser, then disappear when you close it. If you select SAVE, the PPT will be permanently downloaded to your hard drive for future use. It's your decision which option you chose. I suggest the OPEN option, unless that doesn't work on your computer. However, if you find a PPT you really like and can use later in school, go ahead and SAVE it.
