Hi I'm Maggie, i teach Science (mostly freshman) at the high school. I really love geology. I am somewhat tech literate but feel as though I have fallen behind. As far as project focus i will be doing something that ties technology and geology together, but that is about all I know so far.

Okiedokie now I'm gonna try the fancy stuff Introducing... Gerri Wade. I've been teaching "at risk" kids for just about ten years now. Gotta say they're tuff, but I do love 'em. Always seemed more real to me than the "traditional" students. I don't know if they think i'm real, [glow=red,2,300]or nuts,[/glow] but i seem to get thru. As far as my project is concerned, I've been thinking about the technology plan that the district is working on right now. From my experience, those documents are vague and lifeless. I was contemplating the design of an uber-tech plan that really lays out new technologies and uses for them in the K-12 curriculum. this is still a very broad idea, and i'm not sure if this really fits within the scope of study for this program. Comments and Kind Criticism Gladly Accepted ;D

I[glow=red,2,300] am really not sure at all as to what I will do for my masters Project. [/glow][glow=red,2,300]Currently, we are in the process of developing a library-media center at Liberty. I am thinking that my project will be be focused on ways to engage students in research, reading, etc. with technology and the media center as the vehicles. Time will tell![/color][/glow]

Hello, my name is Danny Biro and I teach Biology and Physiology at BHS. I have been teaching for seven years at BHS. I perfer a Mac over a PC due to Mac's applications and ease of use. My first computer was a Tandy with a hardrive of less than five megabites. I have upgraded since then.
[glow=red,2,300]I want to develop a website that acts as an online collaborative tool for the BHS science department. The site will involve curriculum maping, blogging, document sharing, online testing (possibly), links to other educational websites, etc.
Andrea and I have been developing a Biology curriculum over the past few years. Our curriculum has become stronger each year partly due to our collaboration. If all of the science teachers at BHS began to frequent collaborate, and have easy access to do so, then the BHS science curriculum has the possiblitly to expand and evolve. [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Good for you guys! Collaboration is key- no man is an island etc etc! I firmly believe that when we work together our students benefit. I think it's a lot easier to do at the elementary level, but just as essential in High School. Bravo![/glow]

Good Morning! Kara Rydman here. I teach Kindergarten at Mary Farmar Elementary. I am on my third year at Mary Farmar. Before I started teaching Kindergarten, I worked for the Vallejo Adult School, teaching Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones is a parent child program. I did this part time for 6 years. I really enjoy Kindergarten! [/size3][/colorpink][glow=red,2,300][/glowred]I am not sure about what my project focus will be???. I see a huge need for parent's participation in the elementary years, especially Kindergarten. I would like to find a way using technology, exciting, alluring technology to excite the kids and their parents. If we can hook parents on helping their kids with school we will develop stronger, eventually more independent learners. I know obstacles may be homes not having computers or internet access. So...I have a lot to think about :-./.[glow=red,2,300][/glow]
