::)Lilian again. BHS for now.... I teach foreign language (Spanish) grades 9-12. If I decide to continue with the program I will like to create a resource material for Spanish teacher where they will simply select the questions and have a quick quiz of approximately twenty questions exclusively in the grammar area the teacher would like to check for student ability within the basic levels of Bloom's taxonomy. Right now my plan is to finish the courses in June to attain the credit units I need to update my credential and hopefully other six units for fun during the summer.

Hi its Angela Biletnikoff and I teach 7th grade history at Benicia Middle School. As for my project, I am thinking about developing an online 7th grade history website that can be used for students in alternative educational settings--home and hospital or county day for example. My former profession was in the group home setting and the education some of the students were getting was less than desireable.I know when students are in alternative education, their history learning takes a back seat to English and Math.
[glow=red,4,300]I have also just thought about creating a website just for my classes. I am not a digital native, so I need to think smaller for now.[/glow]

Any BHS Early Bird member here today? The snow and rain made it impossible for me to return. Would one of you be so kind to tell Linda (for the sub) that Feb 17 assignments are in the cubby under the Bears (Solano and Angel) in a white paper wrap? I would truly appreciate it. I am sick, upset and just waiting for the roads to open. Thank you for your help.

My name is Mike Sindel and I am a math teacher at BHS. I teach all levels of math from basic math, algebra all the way through Calculus. Before I was a teacher, I worked for Andersen Consulting as a computer/management consultant. My client was Safeway and I traveled the country helping install a warehouseing management system. After I started teaching, I decided to work summers in industry. I have worked for Kaiser, Pacific Bell, SBC, AT&T, Dow Chemical and NUMMI. I would like to think that I have maintained both the educational and business perspectives in my teaching methods. My technical abilities are fairly extensive. I know most of the Microsoft Office programs. In addition, because of my consultant training, I feel that if I do not know a software program I can learn it and apply it quickly. I do not have fear of new technology. My only gripe is if I am not going to use it, why should I learn it?
I am still debating as to what my Master's paper will be. I am going to consult with T and Maselli and try to build on what they are doing--I want to find a need in the math department and build on it. Of course one of the main concerns is intervention and algebra 1 achievement. So I will probably angle in that direction.

Hello All,
I am Emily Schroeder. I am currently teaching Earth Science and Biology at St. Patrick St. Vincent High School in Vallejo. I am in my 7th year of teaching Science and have spent a fair majority of those years as an activity director as well.
I am comfortable with both PC and Mac programs. I have used computers most of my life and recently am learning photo editting and have enjoyed website building for my students to see class materials and homework.
I would like to create an Earth Science Web designed summer remedial high school class where I can monitor student progress and have online due dates as well as once a week in class sessions. I have been working with students from the previous year taking an online course which I am am very dissapointed with as it is designed to just memorize and take a test instead of truly learning and applying to real life applications.

Hi, this is Brandon. I teach history, econ, and gov. here at BHS. I love mac's too. Whatever I do my masters project on I will use my mac. Here are my ideas. 1. School house raps...used garageband to record one rap per unit for my ap gov class. 2. The Conan Brien Effect media puppet show. I am dying to figure out how to put a mouth over still images and make them talk. How cool would it be to scare the crap out of kids who think they are looking at a still photograph. I could do review for each section in such an interesting way that they would be forced to remember. Thats what I got right now...check back for updates. Brandon ps..sorry for the pre-post

Yah for being able to make changes, now you won't need to read my 3 other attempts! My name is Andrea Jenest, I teach at BHS, and I teach Biology and Oceanography. I don't have a lot of "technical abilities," but I do pick things up fairly easily, and have used quite a few applications in my science classes.Well, the big question I hear these days, is how do we "engage" our students, as many students seem to have a hard time seeing the point of school. I'm currently thinking about a 3-pronged apporach. How can I use technology in my lectures to hold their attention, how can I use technology to improve participation in, and critical thinking during, in-class activities, and how can I use technology to engage them in studying while at home.

Ok I think I finally have this color and font thing down, but it isn't as easy to manipulate as word. We have to understand the html code a little bit
This should be size 3 font size
